Cheers to 5 Years!
uniqFEED celebrates 5 years since company’s foundation
uniqFEED was founded on the 20th of March 2015 when CEO Lukas Gysin, CSO Ralf Dragon, and Prof. Luc van Gool dotted the final i’s and crossed the final t’s required to bring their software-based virtual advertising vision to reality.
It is therefore easy to understand why the 20th of March of this year would have been an important milestone for the company and its founders. In the 5 years since its foundation, uniqFEED has grown to a team of 52, with three offices worldwide, and has won prestigious awards and deployed its novel technology at high-tier sporting events. After enjoying great success deploying its virtual advertising solution within racket sports such as tennis, table tennis, and badminton, uniqFEED has recently developed its newest product for the baseball market has its eyes set firmly on football for the coming year.
However, the celebrations were destined not to go off as planned. While uniqFEED had intended to celebrate on the date of the company anniversary – the 20th of March, the event was canceled due to COVID-19 restrictions and plans had to be put on hold until the team could safely come together again. And so, they did, almost 6 months later, on September 4th, 2020. Giesserei in Oerlikon was chosen as the venue, rather than the uniqFEED HQ, as it could offer sufficient space for the 52-strong uniqFEED team to gather and celebrate with appropriate social distancing.
CEO & Founder Lukas Gysin took to the stage first with a poignant account of the last 5 years, how he met fellow founder and current CSO Ralf Dragon, and how together they created uniqFEED. He went on to demonstrate how the company has grown over time, about the company’s relocation to its current HQ in Glattbrugg, and about the foundation of the two subsidiaries in New York and Hanover. Following the CEO were each of the members of the Executive Committee, including CSO Ralf Dragon, CTO David Hasenfratz, COO Simon Bowler, and CFO Olivier Fernandez who each presented their own teams’ challenges, achievements, and ambitious plans for the future. After the main presentations Peter Baumgartner, former CEO of Etihad and Chairman of uniqFEED’s Board of Directors gave a stirring speech about the foundation of uniqFEED and its path to success and offered his congratulations to the entire team for reaching this important milestone.
And with that in mind, and the celebrations wrapped up, we look forward to the next milestones and the many exciting projects and successes to come, and say cheers to the next five years!
